Things to think about when visiting Amplified Arts at the Historic Plainfield Town hall:

Beep, Beep Yeah: There is free parking along the street outside the venue. There is ADA parking next to the building. The Plainfield Library also has parking behind it.  Please only use the driveway out front of the venue to drop off and pick up.

The play’s the thing: The staging of the show will be intimate and immersive with the audience on two sides and the action in the middle. We respectfully request you arrive early, the house will open 30 minutes before curtain. If you arrive late we may not be able to accommodate you until intermission so please plan ahead.

Butts in seats: Seating is general admission. Once seated, the audience will need to remain in their seats until intermission, so please plan ahead. We do have restrooms in the lobby.

Wink, wink, nudge, nudge, know what I mean, know what I mean?:  Amplified Arts is unique in the region for its intimate performances. Our current venue is a small proscenium stage. Please be mindful of the space you inhabit while watching the show. Actors may move in and out of the performance space in all directions. Spreading out too far could be a safety issue for the actors and a comfort issue for the person next to you. Lease plan to be bring cushions for the folding chairs.

Leave your baggage at the door: Large bags, backpacks and oversized purses not permitted in the performance space. We encourage you to leave them in the car. Small bags and purses are permitted but be aware that bags may be checked at the discretion of Amplified Arts staff. Your safety is our highest priority. When the mutton is nice and lean: Outside food and beverage is not permitted. We have concession for sale during intermission.

Lights, Camera, Annoying: Video and photography during the performance are prohibited. Silence all cell phones. Not only is it embarrassing if it goes off, but it breaks the mood for audience members! unplug and engage. Our actors will make it easy, we promise!

What’s your Handle?: We encourage social media usage, but please do it at the appropriate time. Examples: A shot of the set before the show starts, a quick Insta post saying “THIS SHOW ROCKS” during intermission, A selfie with the cast after the show are all great ways to show your love for what we do. Feel free to use these hashtags:    #amplifiedartsnh, #amplifiedartsnhacademy, #liveyourartsnh

Chatty Aunt Kathy: Be kind to your fellow audience members and the actors by refraining from holding a conversation during the show.  Feel free to react, laugh and so on. But no one wants to hear about what you had for lunch or what your doctor said at your last appointment.

Children and live theatre: Attending a live performance can be a magical and memorable experience for children. Please take the time to select an appropriate show for children. If you would like guidance on titles that might be a good fit, please feel free to reach out to amplifiedartsnh@gmail.com. By order of the Fire Marshall, every child who attends must have their own ticket/seat and be accompanied by an adult at all times.
