As a Business Leader, you understand the value of quality arts and cultural experiences and the effects this type of programming can have on the local economy by building awareness, attracting visitors to our downtown and much more. We at Amplified Arts, are focused on contributing to the downtown renaissance by providing high-quality arts education and programming, access to unique community gatherings, and top notch locally produced performances.
Our first season of locally produced arts programming saw sold out audiences. First with the Academy’s “The Importance of Being Earnest” and then again in the fall with “The Diary Of Anne Frank” co-produced with the youth theatre company The Performer’s Playground. We also partnered with Turning Points Network and Newport’s Library Arts Center to host a night of live storytelling and video screenings in support of TPN’s Empowerment event at the Library Arts Center.
Our second season found us partnering with old and new friends. From our first collaborative production with the Off Broad Street Players to our co-production of “The Great Gatsby” on the Newport Opera House stage, 2017 was by all accounts a great year for high quality arts experiences in Sullivan County.
2018 is already on track to be an even bigger year with new partnerships with local non-profits to bring performance and discussion to our community.
